Launched by the journal Epileptic Disorders and the John Libbey Eurotext editions, "Progress in Epileptic Disorders" is a new series of books (PubMed indexation requested) publishing books on clinical, neurophysiological, neuroimaging, neuropsychological, genetics or basic aspects of the epilepsies. Books considered for publication can be either the product of scientific workshops or the fruit of individual proposals.

All proposals for a book to be included in the series "Progress in Epileptic Disorders" are submitted for evaluation and comments to members of an International Advisory Board. All chapters included in books of the series are peer reviewed.

The first book of the series, entitled "Cognitive dysfunction in children with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy" and edited by A. Arzimanoglou, A. Aldenkamp, H. Cross, M. Lassonde, SL. Moshé and B. Schmitz, was presented at the 25th International Epilepsy Congress held in Paris (2005). Volumes 2* and 3** will be diffused in 2006.
